Free Membership - 6 month trial
From May 8, 2011 we are offering free membership to all newly registered users. All rights of full membership are granted for a 6 month trial. If you have joined Stigma.org.uk and cannot write articles please let us know.
|
We have decided not to support the Blue Light Festival this year due to other commitments clashing with the Blue Light Festival dates.
However we have decided to offer all registered members full membership, for a 6 month trial period.
For full details of what facilities are available to members, please visit our membership page.
Also, we are going to use the Google Adwords feature on our site for the 6 month period as well as buying advertisement from Google Adwords. It may use up some screen area, but we will try to be a little discrete with the advertising.
If both features are successful we will offer them for the following 6 months as a trial.
John Crook, Secretary.

We understand what it is like to live in the dark, the burden of life gnawing at the heart,
as we live in the sun living life to the full, impatient for each day to see what's to be done
We understand what it's like to live in chains, as we walk the free path-way to follow our dreams
Suicidal you say - now listen my dear, snap out of it and get help straight away,
We're highly qualified we'll do all we can, what you must understand there's no magic pill,
Oh! but we understand - Yes we do!

Source: (http://www.alastaircampbell.org/blog.php?id=304 on 13 April 2010) Title: discriminatory law 2010-01-11 09:48:15"As Gordon Brown explains to Labour MPs how he believes they can
still fight and win the next election, can I report the outcome of
another less high profile - but ultimately successful - campaign.
It was the campaign to get the Speaker's Conference on access to
politics and Parliament to recommend removing a discriminatory piece of
legislation which states that MPs cannot be barred from office on
grounds of physical health, but can be so barred if they are detained
under the Mental Health Act.
64. We believe that s141 of the 1983 Mental Health
Act is unnecessary and damaging. It embodies attitudes which stigmatise
and sap the confidence of people with mental illness. Section 141
should be repealed as soon as practicable. (Paragraph 327) Write Comment (1 comments) |
